Do you know how Word was founded?

As everyone knows, WordPress is a very popular blogging tool. Although there are many other platforms on the web, this open-source application has reached the top of the ladder and is still going up. Everyone who uses WordPress will not deny the fact that it is easy to use and packed with many cool features. Many of us have blogs on various websites, WordPress can also be one of them. We may all have become experts, but do we know anything about how it all started?

Matthew Mullenweg – The brain behind this!

Matthew Charles Mullenweg was born in Houston, Texas in 1984 (yes, he’s only 28 years old!). He is admired named Matt Mullenweg. She indulged in blogging while at a summer camp in Washington, DC. He started blogging to share a lot of photos he clicked on the trip with his new camera.

Matt & Mike – Engineers of this blogging tool

The Blogger, Movable Type and b2 platforms were available at the time, but b2 was the only open-source application among them. However, this B2 literally defected without any development, and Matthew wrote it on his blog. Mike Little, blogger Matt, asked if you are interested in working together on b2. So these two got together and started working on the B2 code. Michel Valdrigue, who was the original developer of b2, joined these two, and thus WordPress was created. Matt realizes that it was very hard work as they had to make any changes to the composition and the icon. But these people loved what they were doing, so there were no complaints.

Automatic company

When he wrote that he would be in San Francisco, CNET Networks’ Mike Tatum contacted Matt and asked if they could be found. Matt describes it as a totally weird and random meeting, but when Tatum returned, he asked if he wanted to get a job at CNET. He majored in political science and then retired from it to join CNET Networks. He left this job in 2005 and launched his own company, Automattic Inc.

The idea behind the creation of this company was to provide support for open source developers who were working on open source applications. Akismet has been launched to stop commenting and track spam. WordPress hosting is also provided at WordPress.com by this Matt company. Among the main developers of this company were Ryan Boren, Mark Jaquith, Andrew Ozz and Peter Westwood. They have formed a strong Automattic team.

There has been a tremendous response to this open-source blogging platform worldwide. It is now the most popular content management system (CMS) and controls approximately 22% of new websites. Matt has also received numerous recognitions and awards for his contributions to the world of the Internet.

The future of WordPress

According to Matt, it will be seen that WordPress will silently and invisibly control much of the web content in the future. This is an indication of how this application has interfered with our online lives.
