How to make money with WordPress sites

How to make money with WordPress sites

WordPress is probably the first free blogging platform in today’s society. Therefore, thousands of bloggers around the world use WordPress to run their blogs (including me). But how does WordPress, a free blogging platform, generate you big income? Here is a step-by-step guide on how to make money with WordPress.

1.) Select a niche

The most important element of a website/blog is the right place. Choose a specific and unique place that you feel comfortable writing about. For example, if you are good at web design, write about a specific part of web design like programming. Make sure your location is not dark, because search engines like Google and Yahoo! You will not find your website/blog.

Once you’ve chosen your location, brainstorm a few articles you can write about. This will help in the long run. Trust me, you don’t want to start a blog and half a year later you have a severe fart and you can’t write any other article. Make sure your place is specific but wide enough to write at least 2000 articles!

2.) Create your own WordPress blog

You need to create a WordPress blog. WordPress is a free blogging platform, but you will need a website first, and the website must be hosted in one of two ways: free or paid hosting.

Free hosting

If you are looking for a free WordPress hosting service, your best solution may be WordPress.com hosting. WordPress automatically comes with WordPress.com’s free web hosting service (as the name implies) and you won’t have to worry about all the hassles of web hosting (name servers, updates, MySQL databases, etc.)! Also, setup is easy and you can choose your domain (although it should be a WordPress.com subdomain). Trust me, free WordPress hosting is no better than WordPress.com!

Another option is to find free web hosting services and manually install WordPress. This is not recommended because it takes a lot of hassle to find a 100% free web hosting service with good runtime and WordPress support. I would recommend hosting WordPress.com with free web hosting.

The last and worst option (in my opinion) for free WordPress hosting is hosting your website. This is the most complicated process where you need to redirect according to your router, install own hosting service like WAMP and get a free domain from No-Ip.org (subdomain of course). The worst part is that your website will not have bandwidth because you are hosting your website. I won’t even dig into that; Google can self-host WordPress because I will not waste time explaining the least recommended way to host your website for free.

Paid accommodation

Paid hosting allows you full control of your WordPress blog (you can write whatever you want; with WordPress.com hosting you must abide by its terms of service). Bloggers often use this to their advantage, because creating attractive looking templates and website design is easy with paid hosting. First, you will need to find a good web hosting service. I recommend HostGator because (IMHO) it’s cheap but offers the best WordPress support and compatibility. With HostGator, simply sign up (you’ll get a free domain with any plan) and on your dashboard, you can click Install WordPress with one click! Once installed, WordPress will be fine.

3.) Get a theme, create WordPress tools and start writing things!

Once you set up WordPress, I recommend selecting a theme. WordPress has a wide variety of themes, and you can decide which one works best for your blog. The second step after installing WordPress is to install the tools. The tools are special components of your WordPress blog and each one has a specific functionality.

In my opinion, SEO, Backup, Cache and Anti-Spam are the tools you need. Other elegant widgets depend on your discretion. After installing the tools (you can decide which ones you need and which ones you don’t), get ready to write! Do you remember the first step? I hope you can spit on two blog posts for your brainstorming!

4.) Receive traffic

As a webmaster, I cannot stress the importance of traffic. You may have the best article on the planet, but if your only blogging mom is your mom, the world won’t be able to see your beautiful writing. That’s why traffic is necessary for your blog to stay on.

To get started, I recommend that you submit your site immediately to the best search engines (Google, Yahoo !, Bing). As a small precaution, I urge you not to focus on submitting your site to too many search engines, because most search engines should find your website automatically.

It is very easy to create some initial visits since you have friends and family. Use Facebook, Twitter and any other way to notify everyone about your website. Assuming you know more than 50 people in the world, this should be very easy and you should start getting static traffic. Not much, but stable.

Now is the time for the audience. One of the most effective ways to get traffic is to submit your website to major directories like Dmoz (Google). However, since it’s just getting started, I don’t recommend it because Dmoz accepts less than 1% of all submissions, and your site is likely to be 99% rejected. Submit your website to lesser-known but reliable directories that include indexing.

Once you’ve submitted your website to at least 10 directories, let’s move on to another way to gain traffic. Traffic exchange sites are good as long as they are a guide. Never join an automated browsing exchange site, as traffic is worthless because everything is automated.

Another free and effective way to get traffic is through free classified ads. Simply “free classified ads” from Google and you will find many websites that allow you to post ads for free. This is effective because it doesn’t take long and thousands of top-ranked sites will show your ads at no charge!

5.) Criticize your WordPress blog

  • To date, you must have a blog:
  • It has a unique position
  • You have at least 10 articles/publications
  • Hosted by a reliable web hosting service
  • You have a WordPress blogging platform (duh!)
  • It has good traffic (more than 500 visitors per day)
  • It can be found in search engines like Google

Now is the time to reap your rewards for your hard work! Time to make money!

The most effective and easiest way to earn a constant income is through advertising. There are many paths you can take. The most popular advertising service is Google Adsense. However, they only pay by check, and it can be inconvenient if you want to be paid by other means like PayPal. That is why there are so many AdSense alternatives!

Clicksor

Clicksor may be the main competition on AdSense. You can pay in different ways, making Clicksor more convenient than AdSense. Clicksor offers practically all kinds of ads you will need for your blog; is a comprehensive solution to monetize your blog.

One of the main problems with Clicksor and other integrated advertising solutions is that blogs are amazing. Some blogs lose traffic due to ads that fill more than 60% of their blog and annoy visitors. You can risk losing some traffic and making your website ugly, or you can use an alternative monetization method: text ad.

Information links

InfoLinks is the best text ad. Text advertising is effective due to the limited alteration of your blog; Select and highlight random keywords on your blog, allowing visitors to click on it, thus generating revenue for the webmaster (in this case, you). How can text ad services deliver these types of ads? Advertisers pay sites like InfoLinks to promote their products/services. InfoLinks delivers that responsibility to webmasters like you and me, and we charge for InfoLinks to earn money. I hope I haven’t confused you. In the simplest terms, you get paid to display links on your blog!

Now, how do we incorporate such a good service into our blog? InfoLinks has generously created a WordPress tool that you can simply install on your site.

Follow the simple integration guide for a minute, and you should have text ads integrated into your blog at any time!

InfoLinks has a relatively high return per click (PPC); on average, each click is $ 0.10. Suppose you have 500 visitors per day, 10% (50 people) each clicking on a text ad per day. This gives you $ 5.00 a day, which means more than $ 1,500 a year and does nothing! This is only 10% of your daily visitors! You can earn a significant income with InfoLinks.

Regarding payment methods, InfoLinks pays by PayPal or check. Very comfortable for me.

Other ways to earn money

Another 100% free method is commission marketing. In short, affiliate marketing works like this: Big companies like Microsoft pay you when you help them make a sale. Every time you refer a friend to a Microsoft website and make a purchase (i.e. Windows 7), you earn a certain percentage of Microsoft’s total sales (usually this is about 10-15%). Given the amount of traffic you already have, this could be a great money generator. Try this method, because it is also 100% FREE!

Many solutions to make money now also offer WordPress tools, and you can monetize on your blog how much you want. Just keep in mind that you don’t want to be more than 20% of your blog ads.

6.) Enjoy earning free money with your WordPress blog!

Once you have completed all or most of the above, you have successfully created an income-generating WordPress Blog that earns you around $ 2000-3000 a year. Remember more writing = more visitors = more traffic = more ad clicking machines = more money!!

A very important note is that a blog that generates income should not be your main source of income. However, making $ 2,000 a year is great because your visitors do all the work.
